We have a large range of clients, and our products cover the past and interesting themes, as well as, believe it or not, the moon! Plus, we can print a custom map of the area you have chosen – your house, perhaps, or a favourite spot – with your very own title and image. Not surprisingly, they are very popular presents for many occasions.
A particularly moving project we carried out to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War was the reproduction of four trench warfare maps. It’s not widely known that Ordnance Survey staff were moved to France to work due to the risk of supply ships being sunk in the English Channel. Among them were 46 women who helped to set up a map printing factory near the front line.
We have also printed a historical map of York, showing the location of buildings from medieval times to 1850, and medieval London, showing streets and buildings familiar to us today.
Our themed products include The Great British Adventure Map, which will give you plenty of ideas for days out and holidays. Whether you like sports, nature or sitting on the beach, you’ll find something to appeal. For music lovers, The Great British Music Map celebrates artists, records and locations that inspired songs.
And finally, yes, we have also printed a map of the moon, or more accurately, the landing site of Apollo 11 in July 1969, that ‘one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.’
